By accessing and using ConvertPDF.Live ("the Site", "we", "our"), located at https://convertpdf.live, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Site.

2. Description of Service

ConvertPDF.Live provides free, browser-based PDF tools including (but not limited to):

• PDF conversion (to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, images, text)
• PDF manipulation (merge, split, compress, rotate, delete pages, rearrange)
• PDF annotation (edit, watermark, sign, stamp, add headers/footers, page numbers)
• PDF security (protect with password, unlock, remove restrictions)

All processing is performed entirely within your browser using JavaScript. No files are uploaded to our servers at any point.

3. Free Service & No Warranties

The Site and all its tools are provided free of charge on an "as is" and "as available" basis without any warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the output will meet your specific requirements. You use the tools entirely at your own risk.

4. Acceptable Use

By using the Site, you agree that you will not:

• Use the tools to process documents containing illegal, harmful, or infringing content
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the Site's operation
• Use automated scripts or bots to make bulk requests to the Site
• Attempt to exploit any security vulnerability in the Site or its dependencies
• Use the Site in violation of any applicable local, national, or international law

5. Intellectual Property

All content on ConvertPDF.Live — including the interface design, branding, text, and functionality — is the intellectual property of ConvertPDF.Live unless otherwise stated. The PDF processing is powered by open-source libraries (pdf-lib, PDF.js, JSZip) under their respective licences. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute the Site's design or content without written permission.

6. Your Files & Data

Since all processing happens in your browser, we never receive, store, or access your files. You retain full ownership of any documents you process using our tools. We accept no responsibility for data loss resulting from browser crashes, hardware failure, or any other cause during use of the Site.

7. Third-Party Services

The Site uses third-party services including Google Analytics (usage tracking) and Google Forms (contact/feedback). These services are subject to their own Terms of Service and Privacy Policies. We are not responsible for the practices of these third parties.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ConvertPDF.Live shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Site, including any errors in processed files, data loss, or business interruption. Our total liability to you, if any, shall not exceed zero (as the Service is provided free of charge).

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ConvertPDF.Live, its operators, and contributors from any claim, loss, liability, or expense (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Site or violation of these Terms.

10. Availability & Changes

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Site at any time without notice. We may also update these Terms at any time — the "Last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from use of the Site shall be resolved in the appropriate courts of jurisdiction.
